Where to sail a Flying Fifteen in Victoria

Apollo Bay Sailing Club
Apollo Bay is the most southerly village in mainland Australia at the heart of the spectacular Great Ocean Road and is home to one of the world’s largest fleets of Classic Flying Fifteens!
The club races every Saturday from November to April with a wide variety of sailing experiences given the fickle nature and sometimes massive swells of Bass Strait.
The club is sited in Apollo Bay Harbour and has a safe ramp for launching, a hard stand area and enthusiastic friendly crowd of locals who enjoy beer & banter after racing.

Davey’s Bay Yacht Club
Davey’s Bay is one of the oldest Yacht Clubs in Victoria being founded in 1909 and often referred to as “The Jewel on the Bay”. Located In Mount
Eliza the club is in a secluded bay which is ideal for launching and retrieving boats in most wind directions. The club rooms  have a modern feel to them and a deck on which to ponder the days racing with a glass or two. Although small, Davey’s Bay has produced, State, National and World champions, as well as three Olympians. Flying Fifteens are launched by two cranes and normal race days are Sundays in the season.
Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club
Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club is located on the foreshore of McMillan Straits and Lake Victoria, Paynesville in East Gippsland. The club was founded in 1937, the facility has grown somewhat since those early days and now boasts to be one of the most successful family sailing clubs in Victoria. Our facilities include a fully-licenced bar, club rooms with lake views.
Crane, and ramp launching facilities are available for Flying Fifteens. Normal race days are Sundays in the season and twilight sails on Tuesday evenings
