35 boats have gathered at Mornington Yacht Club for the 56th FFIA Australian Championship. Unfortunately the wind did not fill in and after an hour or so of drifting the Race Officer sent the fleet home.

Racing is scheduled to resume tomorrow with the added excitement of the Volvo Ocean Race turning at a mark 300 metres to sea from Mornington pier. We should get a good view, let’s hope not too close.
